Bill Cary's 1946 Ercoupe
1946 Ercoupe 415-D. Manufactured as a “C” but mods to increase the useful load makes this a “D” and not qualified for LSA.
2,424 TT with a C-85 with 835 SMOH. A fresh annual was just completed in March 2009. All AD’s completed. The panel looks
just like it did in 1946 with original glove boxes and the ash tray. The upholstery is in great shape and looks original.
There is 1 small 360 channel Com and a Mod C Transponder. Goodyear brakes. This a/c is hangared at Lee’s Summit, MO (KLXT)
and has been hangared most of its life. The 2-tone brown paint was applied in ’94 when metal wings were rebuilt with fabric.
Logs on the engine are from ’59 and a/c logs from ’89. I purchased this from children of a local man that passed away leaving
the Ercoupe to his children. I have an RV6 and can’t afford 2 airplanes. I’m keeping the RV6.
