 Mini-Imp Flyin


Canceled due to not enough participation
 
Lee's Summit, MO will be the site of the first Mini-Imp Flyin.
 
 
The main goal of the flyin is to gather all the Mini-Imp builders and others who have interest in this aircraft to discuss building and other topics.  The hope for the three day weekend is to gather together to discuss building the Mini-Imp and have presentations on building topics, plus Mini-Imp aircraft to view, and to inform and support the builders group.
 
Where: Lee's Summit, MO (LXT)
 
When: September 28, 29, 30, 2012
 
Host: EAA Chapter 91, organized by James Perkins a EAA Chapter 91 member and Mini-Imp plans owner/future builder.
 
Who is invited: Mini-Imp plans holders and builders; Orion builders due to using the same driveshaft system; Coot anphibian builders due to being a Molt Taylor design.  These people are welcome to attend all of the scheduled events.  All other people that have not purchased plans but are interested in the Mini-Imp are welcome to look over the Mini-Imp aircraft on display and to talk to the builders.

RSVP - Deadline July 31 (to confirm 10 people minimum and to confirm 1 Mini-Imp aircraft to attend the flyin.)
 
Everyone that is planning to attend the flyin please email James to confirm you are coming so we can have a head count. We need a minimum of 10 people and at least one Mini-Imp flown to the flyin or towed for display purposes.  All aircraft will be able to be stored in the hangar for the entire weekend, I will need to know the number of Mini-Imps that will be at the flyin in order to ensure adequate space is available in the hangar.
 
Include the following in the email:
  • Number of people to attend including yourself.
  • Are you interested in giving a presentation?
  • Are you bringing an Mini-Imp to show the group?
  • Permission to list your name on the.

  • Presentation of the drive shaft system by Jean-Dom Leullier on his G-801 Orion of the Orion group. (tentative on his schedule)
  • Presentation by anyone about Molt Taylor and his design of the Mini-Imp.
  • Presentation by Gary James on the Mini-Imp (tentative on his attendance)
  • Presentation by the owner of a Mini-Imp at the flyin on his build. (tentative on a plane and volunteer)
  • Invite Pat Hart to attend flyin to talk about his experience with flying his plane and working with Molt Taylor on his build.
